In Laos, foreign ministers from China and the 10 countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations have wrapped up an emergency meeting on the coronavirus. The 11 ministers agreed on joint measures to combat the threat of COVID-19 and prepare collectively for future outbreaks of contagious disease. After China and Japan, the ASEAN countries have seen the highest number of confirmed cases of the virus.
