The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in southwest China's Sichuan Province recently made a video of a giant panda and sent it to a makeshift hospital in central China's Wuhan City.

The video was done in response to patients' wishes to see a giant panda giving birth in their WeChat group organized by the Hanyang module hospital, where more than 400 patients are staying.

The video features female panda Cheng Lang who was born on June 11, 2019, weighing only 42.8 grams and has grown to an adult weighing 18 kilograms. It also documents the moments she opened her eyes or she sipped milk for the first time, as well as how she learned to climb trees with a burning desire for survival.

The research base hopes the video can serve as an inspiration to the patients, giving them hope, strength and confidence.
