A woman infected with COVID-19 gave birth to a baby boy on February 8, 2020 in Hangzhou, east China. Luckily, the child tested negative for the disease.

After a 16-day stay in the hospital and multiple negative nucleic acid tests, the newborn was allowed to leave.

His father nicknamed him Xiao Tangyuan, meaning "little rice ball."

The medical staff recorded video messages to send him their best wishes.
