Daegu mayor: City at a critical juncture for epidemic control

South Korea's Daegu City is at a critical juncture to control the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), said Kwon Young-jin, mayor of Daegu, on February 24.

As of 4 p.m. Monday, the number of infected patients in South Korea was 833, up 231 from the previous day. 681 are Daegu residents, a city about 300 kilometers southeast of the capital Seoul and surrounding North Gyeongsang Province.
