Wuhan's second prefabricated hospital, Leishenshan, provides more than 1,000 beds for patients diagnosed with the COVID-19. The hospital started receiving patients on February 8, even as construction continued. All 32 wards have been put into use as of February 20, two days after the hospital saw its first two recovered patients.

The number of designated hospitals in Wuhan has increased to 48, offering more than 23,000 beds as of Sunday, according to Wuhan Municipal Health Commission. The number of empty beds had tripled since February 19 when fewer than 1,300 beds were unoccupied in all designated hospitals in the city.
