The Japanese government has addressed concerns that the upcoming Olympic Games could be affected by the coronavirus outbreak. Organizers say they have contacted the International Olympics Committee (IOC) after one of its members suggested the Games could be cancelled rather than postponed or moved. But Japan says the IOC has confirmed this is not its official position and preparations for the Games are continuing as scheduled.
