Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan has hailed the positive results China has achieved so far in its fight against the COVID-19, saying it demonstrates the outstanding leadership of the Communist Party of China and the strength of the Chinese system.
Wang made the remarks while meeting with Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic in Beijing on Thursday.
In the meeting, Wang pledged that China will further enhance international cooperation in the fight against COVID-19.
Noting that Dacic is the first foreign minister that China has received since the onset of the outbreak, Wang thanked the firm support of Serbia, saying the visit itself is a demonstration of the friendly bilateral relations.
He called on the two sides to deepen mutual understanding, tighten cooperation and accelerate China-Serbia comprehensive strategic partnership with joint efforts.
