Liu Meng is a 24-year-old self-employed businessman in Wuhan. Over the past month, his family has been through the darkest period of their lives. In late January, Liu and his father were infected with COVID-19. They went to several hospitals and were rejected by all of them. "When the doctor saw me, he kept a distance of 1.5 meters," he said. As the fever and fatigue increased, Liu became more and more depressed.
In early February, Liu and his father, who had a fever for nearly 10 days, were received in a temporary hospital. At first, the medical conditions made Liu feel like there "was no salvation" until he met a nurse who changed his mind. Nurse Yang came from the medical team of Jiangxi Province, and her dedication showed him the greatness of medics.
On February 16, Liu and his father recovered from the disease and were discharged from the hospital. He has since located nurse Yang and thanked her for her professional work, and more importantly, the psychological comfort she gave him.
