A stump-tailed macaque, a rare monkey species under second-level national protection in China, was involved in a bit of a scuffle after it wandered into a village and attacked a local in southwest China's Yunnan Province. The monkey was found with a collar around its neck, leading police to suspect that the wild animal had been kept in captivity and abandoned by its owner after China imposed tough restrictions on wildlife trade in the wake of the new coronavirus outbreak.
