Israelis are casting ballots in the third general election in less than a year, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu seeking political survival. It comes after two previous elections failed to yield a coalition government, and just two weeks before Netanyahu stands trial over corruption charges. Opinion polls forecast a tight race between Netanyahu, leader of the right-wing Likud Party, and former army chief Benny Gantz, head of the Blue and White alliance.
