China Media Group (CMG) has teamed up with the State Development & Investment Corporation (SDIC) – China's largest state-owned investment holding company – and the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) to launch a national online recruitment project on March 2.

The first batch of 75,000 positions provided by more than 1,000 companies on Monday opened for job seekers on the CMG-owned Yangshipin app – the first national-level 5G new media platform.

The app will serve as a visual, interactive communication platform between job seekers and companies.

Employers can hold briefing sessions for recruitment and conduct Q&As through live streaming.

Jobhunters at home can watch the employers' presentations online, browse relevant recruitment information, as well as submit their resumes and CVs through the platform.

Connecting labor suppliers with demand

The project utilizes the platforms and channels of CMG and integrates employment resources of state-owned and private enterprises, aiming to help build the connection between labor suppliers and demand.

It is also a move to step up efforts to solve the shortage of enterprises' human resources during the COVID-19 outbreak, as the offline recruitment activities have been halted nationwide to prevent and control the spread of the epidemic.

More than 70 state-owned enterprises, including China Meheco, China Electronics, China Resources, China Mobile, China North Industries Group, Civil Aviation Administration of China, and China National Nuclear Corporation, are among the first batch of employers in the project.

It also includes over 50 giant private companies, such as Huawei, Vanke, JD.com, Suning.com and Haixin Group.

Currently, the number of companies that would like to participate in the project is still increasing, and it is expected that the scale of recruitment will continue to expand.

The project will also provide specialized and personalized services targeting at special groups such as graduates of universities and colleges across the country, and launch a sub-project of online campus recruitment.

Yangshipin is inviting renowned presidents, scholars, and teachers from major domestic universities and in the education industry to participate in live streaming with a focus on the theme of the workplace.
