Lebanon said Japan's deputy justice minister is in the country to discuss the fate of ex-Nissan boss, Carlos Ghosn.

Ghosn made a sensational escape to his childhood home in Lebanon last year from Japan where he faces a corruption trial.

The automaker filed a civil lawsuit against Ghosn earlier this month, seeking 92 million dollars in damages.

Ghosn denies all charges against him, and has defended his decision to leave Japan without permission.
