China is encouraging domestic makers of protective suits for medical use to export their goods to meet demand overseas as the novel coronavirus spreads outside China, said an official with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

So far, 250,000 protective suits can be provided to Hubei everyday, which has exceeded the region's demand, said Cao Xuejun, a senior official at China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, adding that they will also ensure the demand of other regions in the country.
