Migratory birds are coming back to northern China amid rising temperatures.

More than 600 have arrived in Qinyuan County, Shanxi Province. The county has a forest coverage rate of about 56.7%.

These birds are inhabiting the Qinhe River, a tributary of the Yellow River.

The black storks are under first-class national protection.

Some grey herons have also been spotted.

The dark brown pheasants are endemic to the mountain forests of Shanxi and nearby provinces.

The county's improving environment has been favored by more migratory birds and other animals.
