Afghanistan's capital Kabul turned a hospital into an emergency center in case the number of coronavirus cases rises significantly.
The Afghan-Japan Communicable Disease Hospital normally treats patients with HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria. At this point, they were already transferred to other clinics. The hospital has empty beds, respirators, and monitors on standby. An isolation ward has also been set up for suspected cases.
The government is sparing no efforts but the hospital has limited testing and bed capacity.
