Several provinces have lowered their coronavirus emergency response measures, allowing more flexibility on transportation and helping firms resume production. As many parts of China ease coronavirus travel curbs, major infrastructure projects nationwide have restarted since the beginning of March.
In northeastern China's Liaoning province, all constructions of power transmission and transformation projects have restarted this week. At the construction site of the 500kV Shengjing power transmission & transformation project, workers enter the site following strict anti-epidemic measures. After completion, the 500kV power transmission project will ease the power supply bottleneck in urban areas of Shenyang, providing also a solid solution for BMW's new production plants in the city's manufacturing district.
China will refine the coordination mechanisms for stable performance in six key areas, namely stability in employment, finance, foreign trade, foreign investment, domestic investment, and market expectations, to promote both effective outbreak response and steady economic and social progress. The decisions were made at the State Council's executive meeting chaired by Premier Li Keqiang on Tuesday.
