The novel coronavirus has led to more medical waste than normal. But it needs to be handled, disposed of, and processed properly, otherwise it can cause infection. Wuhan currently produces around 200 tons of medical waste a day, and its daily handling capacity is about 260 tons, more than five times its capacity before the outbreak. Faced with a large amount of medical waste, cities around China have come up with ways to better handle the disposal process.
