27 countries order school closures to slow virus spread

Twenty-seven countries on three continents have begun closing schools to contain the spread of COVID-19. According to the United Nations' latest update on Friday, 14 countries are doing so nationwide. The list includes China, Italy, Japan and Iran. Nearly 300 million students are affected.
