The Crane Beach Hydropower Station is the second largest structure of its kind in China, just behind the Three Gorges Dam. It's the world's largest hydroelectric station under construction, with a total investment of more than 170 billion yuan (around 24.5 billion USD). As COVID-19 prevention measures continue, 11,000 construction workers have returned to their posts so far.

Construction is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
