What do you want to do in a sunny day? Some choose to stay at home while others choose to go out to bathe in the sun, just like this otter in a Punti Kayu Zoo enclosure, Palembang City, the capital city of the Indonesian province of South Sumatra.

Otters have long and slim bodies with short limbs. They are playful animals. They sometimes play with small stones, sometimes make water slides and slide on them into the water. The male otter is called dog or boar, the female is called bitch or sow. Otters mainly eat fish, sometimes they eat small mammals or birds.

Due to hunting and the demand for their skins, the population of the otter is declining, especially in Southeast Asia.
