An affectionate moment between a polar bear family
CGTN

Amateur photographer Hao Jiang captured a heartwarming moment between a polar bear family. The family had just emerged from hibernation.

The lovely photos were taken in minus 40-degree temperatures at Wapusk National Park, in Manitoba, Canada.

The polar bear is the largest land carnivore in North America. Its white coat which acts as camouflage in the snow and ice is actually not white. Polar bear fur is in fact transparent, and only looks white because it reflects light. Canada is one of five "polar bear nations," with more than two-thirds of the world's polar bears found in the Canadian Arctic.
