The final 49 recovered patients were discharged from Wuchang temporary hospital in Wuhan City, Hubei Province on March 10. Discharging the remaining patients meant the closure of the temporary 784-bed hospital after 35 days of operation.

Wuchang is one of 16 temporary hospitals in the city.

A bus took the patients to a rehabilitation center for another two weeks of medical observations.

The person in charge of the rehabilitation center said that the once-packed quarantine site, which was converted from student dorms, has more than 200 empty rooms now. A total of 1,124 patients have received treatment there. 833 of them were discharged and 291 transferred to other hospitals. 

Another temporary hospital in Wuhan's Jiangxia District also shut down after 26 days of operation. The closure of the last two temporary hospitals marked the closure of all 16 temporary hospitals in the city, which have received a total of 13,000 patients.
