To combat the spread of the coronavirus, Italy has closed down some of its major cities including Milan and Venice. This comes after China locked down Hubei Province, the epicenter of the disease. 

The New York Times has reported on both events, but the newspaper has been accused of "double standards," criticizing China but praising Italy.
