Out of China, the confirmed COVID-19 cases have passed 44,000 while 70 percent of patients in China have recovered.

To help contain the virus, China has shared treatment plans and experience with over 100 countries and international organizations. It has also donated 20 million U.S. dollars to the World Health Organization for combating the virus.

The battlefield of coronavirus has been extended from China to the world. Seeing the increasing numbers overseas, China is committed to helping others while meeting domestic needs. 

It is also a way for China to express gratitude to the international society for its support over the past two months.

China dispatched medical workers abroad

The coronavirus death toll in Italy has exceeded 1,000, with 15,000 confirmed cases. It has become one of the most infected countries out of China.

On March 12, nine Chinese experts set out for Italy from Shanghai to help it during the outbreak, carrying 31 tons of medical materials, including equipment for intensive care and protection gear. It is part of China's efforts to help Italy.

Back in late February, a Red Cross medical team led by researcher Ma Xuejun from China arrived in Iran to guide local medical workers fighting against the coronavirus.

"Hope they all stay safe and come home early, good luck!," said Chinese netizens to the medical worker as they headed abroad.

"We have the same homeland, seeing the same moon," Weibo user @Suishanqiyangzi said, quoting a Chinese poem, conveying his sympathy to other countries.

Last week, a seven-member team, sent by the Red Cross Society of China and the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, arrived in Baghdad, Iraq, to help fight COVID-19. 

They will stay in Iraq for a month to offer help in containing the virus outbreak. This was the second team of Chinese experts sent to the Middle East to help fight the epidemic, since the first Chinese team arrived in Iran on February 29.

China donated medical materials to other countries

China has donated 5,000 protective suits and 100,000 masks to Japan, and part of them have been put into use by late February, according to China's embassy in Japan.

"To build up a peaceful relationship among Japan, China and South Korea, we have to face up to history, care for each other, and support each other," Weibo user @Dongoujisang commented.

"Lands apart, sky shared," the proverb written on aid packages that recently arrived in China from Japan, has gone viral on Chinese social media platforms as a symbol of the warming ties between the two countries amid the COVID-19 outbreak. 

Jack Ma, founder of China's largest e-commerce corporation Alibaba, also donated 100 million masks to Japan on March 2.

Meanwhile, 1.1 million masks and 10,000 protective suits will be donated from China to South Korea before mid March since the coronavirus is spreading quickly in the country.

On march 4, the Iran Embassy in China sent notice for help online, and it has received three million yuan of donations from Chinese netizens.

"You didn't hesitate to donate masks to us before," a Chinese netizen left the comment after a donation. "So this is what we should do when you are in need."

"It was a special and unforgettable experience for us," the Iran Embassy then replied on Weibo the next day. "We appreciate your kindness. It is our responsibility to build our country better again."

High human mobility is a global phenomenon, which means the spread of a virus can never be limited to one region. "One for all, all for one." The fight against COVID-19 has not ended in China, but it is determined to take responsibility, fighting alongside the rest of the world.
