The scenic site Siji Huahai, also known as Flowers of the Four Seasons, located in Yingshan County, Huangguang, announced Thursday that the park would partially reopen to local residents, making it the first scenic spot in central China's Hubei Province to resume operations since the novel coronavirus outbreak.

The decision was made after considering the county's current epidemic situation, in which no new infections have been reported in the last 24 days. The situation on the containment of the COVID-19 outbreak in Hubei, the hardest-hit Chinese province, has been further improving. There have been no new COVID-19 cases in the city of Huanggang since March 1.

The scenic spot will reopen with shortened opening hours and limited visitor numbers. Visitors are required to present their ID card, fill out a registration form and go through temperature checks before entering the park. Masks should be worn during the visit and no gatherings are allowed inside the park.

Featuring various kinds of flowers and hot springs, Siji Huahai is a popular resort for leisure and eco-tourism with beautiful natural scenery. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the site announced its temporary closure from January 25. In mid-February, Huanggang put all residential communities and areas on lockdown as the city upgraded virus prevention and control measures to fight against the virus.
