Live: China's economic performance in first two months of 2020

Mao Shengyong, spokesperson for the National Bureau of Statistics, briefs the media on China's economic performance in January and February. 
Some economic activities in China have been suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak in the last two months. However, industrial production is gradually going back to normal amid work resumption in different Chinese provinces. 
"Whatever the impact on China's GDP growth this year might be, this disease will not affect China's medium- or long-term growth prospects," a senior fellow at the Atlantic Council said in February.
