Storks are seen at Kizilirmak Delta Wetland and Bird Sanctuary, on the the Tentative List of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, in Samsun, Turkey, in March. The Kizilirmak Delta is the biggest wetland in the Black Sea Region and the sanctuary is one of the largest avian sanctuaries in Turkey.
Storks are wading birds with long necks and long legs. They are known for their faithfulness to their nests. Their nests maybe used for many years and can be very large.
