COVID-19-infected parents and their new born child were briefly reunited at a hospital where the baby has spent more than 40 days. The child nicknamed "Xiaoshiliu" (Little Pomegranate) had to be quarantined for 14 days in an intensive care unit after being born as his parents had been diagnosed with COVID-19. Even though the baby could not be taken care of by his parents, he still grew at a healthy pace, with his weight rising from 3.47 kilograms to 4.38 kilograms, thanks to the efforts of medical workers.
