What has China done right to contain COVID-19?

Only hours after the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the COVID-19 a pandemic, which has infected over 120,000 people in more than 110 countries and regions worldwide, China announced its COVID-19 peak had been over after more than two months' hard work. 

So, what has China done right to achieve that? 

In order to share China's experience in the prevention and treatment of the disease, the National Health Commission (NHC) and the WHO jointly held an international briefing via video conference. 

During the event, Ma Xiaowei, minister of the NHC, has summarized eight approaches taken by China that have proved effective in containing the outbreak in the country:
