The online job fair hosted on China Media Group's first 5G new media platform, Yangshipin, has provided over 100,000 openings for job seekers in China since March 2, with over 2,500 companies listed on the platform.

The online recruitment project named "spring blossoms – national employment project" is a joint effort to stabilize employment amid the economic disruptions from coronavirus outbreak, launched by 5G platform Yangshipin, State Development and Investment Corporation and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of China's State Council.

Since China banned public gatherings, and suggested its people to stay inside their homes as much as possible to control the virus spread, which so far has proven very effective, employers and job seekers find themselves in a dilemma that their demand and supply can't be matched because of physical barriers.

Seeing the need for an online channel that can connect employers and job seekers effectively, Yangshipin launched theme pages and floating windows that allow employers to publish their recruitment information and host career talks.

So far, 18 large-scale state-owned and private companies in China have hosted career talks on the platform. The companies include state-owned military industrial companies, telecommunication companies, airline and power grid companies. Famous private companies such as e-commerce giants Alibaba, JD.com and Pinduoduo are also included. During the online career talks, the companies' executives answer question from job seekers.

The jobseekers have so far submitted over 300,000 resumes to companies through the Yangshipin platform. The job advertisement page has been viewed more than 10 million times.
