Since the coronavirus outbreak began, Yuan Tian has been giving nucleic acid tests to suspected patients at Hubei Rongjun Hospital in Wuhan City, the epicenter of COVID-19 in China, putting him at risk of getting infected. Fully aware of the high risk of his daily work, he avoides hugging parents and his eight-month-old daughter. Whenever he gets home every three to four days, all that Yuan can do is to leave at the door the food and necessities he brings, say hello to them from a distance at the corridor and then return to work.
