Beijing reopens SARS hospital to cope with imported COVID-19 cases

Beijing reopened Xiaotangshan Hospital on Monday. It is a medical facility that was built in 10 days to house SARS patients in 2003. This time, the hospital aims to receive international arrivals for further screening, quarantine and treatment of COVID-19 cases. After 53 days of reconstruction, more than 1,600 beds are available in the hospital, which covers an area of 82,000 square meters.
