Initially built during the Ming Dynasty, the Yongding Gate is the largest gate on the outer part of Beijing. It was refurbished in 2004, now Yulan magnolia trees are blooming one after another in Yongding Square.
The flower has long been planted in Chinese Buddhist temples and the emperor's palace. It is appreciated by people for its elegant appearance and fragrance.
