Canadian Province Ontario declared a state of emergency in response to the COVID-19 pandemic on March 17. At a press conference in Toronto, Ontario Provincial Premier Doug Ford said it was a decision the province must make to fight the pandemic.
Under the state of emergency, schools, kindergartens, bars, cafes, entertainment and other indoor public places in Ontario will be closed. Supermarkets, pharmacies and shopping centers will remain open, and public transport will continue to operate to meet people's daily needs.
