The Qilian Mountains are home to the Tibetan gazelle, a hoofed creature with a small frame and great energy. The vast grassland of the Qilian Mountains offers plenty of space for them to run freely. The most prominent feature of Tibetan gazelles is their heart-shaped white rear patch. But rather than attracting a mate, this unique feature serves as a means of communication.
