A magnitude-7.5 earthquake struck offshore 218 kilometers south-southeast of Severo in Russia's Kuril Islands, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said on Tuesday.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center earlier issued a tsunami watch for Hawaii, but it was later canceled.
