Virologist: Germany's low COVID-19 death rate due to extensive tests

Germany has over 36,000 coronavirus cases but it's been able to keep its death rate at half a percent, one of the world's lowest. This is thanks to extensive testing of its population using throat swabs, which are then analyzed for the coronavirus through the polymerase chain reaction test or PCR.
