The U.S. is now the worst-affected country in the world as its coronavirus cases have surpassed 100,000. U.S. President Donald Trump has received criticism for his slow response to the epidemic. Infectious disease expert Dennis Carrol, who is the former director of the U.S. Agency for International Development's Global Health Security and Development Unit, said that the Trump administration has failed to "effectively communicate to everyone that this is a shared risk."
