Eight killed in aircraft crash at Manila's int'l airport

Eight people were killed when a small plane carrying medical supplies crashed at Manila's international airport, Philippines on Sunday, according to local media.

The aircraft bound for Japan crashed on take-off and caught fire Sunday night at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, killing all eight people on board. 

The plane was rented by the Philippine ministry of health to transport basic medical supplies throughout the country.

The fire was brought under control around 9:00 p.m. local time and an investigation into the cause of the incident is underway.
