A team of Chinese medical experts left for Laos from Kunming, capital of Yunnan Province, on Sunday to help its neighbor fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. The 12 experts are from three medical institutions in Yunnan. Their expertise ranges from infection control and intensive care, to laboratory testing and traditional Chinese medicine. The team also brought along various medical supplies, including thousands of medical masks, protective suits, nucleic acid testing kits and some medication, among others. As of Saturday, Laos has reported eight confirmed COVID-19 cases.
