A forest fire broke out in Xichang City of SW China's Sichuan Province on Monday afternoon.

The fire spread rapidly towards the Lushan scenic area and Xichang City was covered in yellow smoke. 

The Xichang Public Security Bureau has implemented emergency traffic controls on multiple sections of road to protect residents' safety and clear fire rescue channels.
