As there is a shortage of masks and prices are rocketing in Serbia, people have begun making their own masks and protective gear. A 72-year-old woman who experienced a 21-day-quarantine in 1972 due to the Variola Vera outbreak is making masks at home and donating them to whoever needs them. She said everyone is doing their part to get through this period and she wanted to contribute too. Elsewhere in the country, mechanical engineering students are 3D printing protective gear for medical staff on the front line.
