Chinese President Xi Jinping inspected the county of Anji in east China's Zhejiang Province on Monday, saying that China will roll out more targeted measures to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) hit by the COVID-19 outbreak restart production and develop further.
President Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, visited Yucun Village in Tianhuangping Township and talked with local residents about what has been achieved in the village in terms of green development.

It was not his first visit to Yucun Village. On August 15, 2005, Xi inspected the village (as the video shown below) as Party chief of Zhejiang Provincial CPC Committee and proposed the concept that "clear waters and green mountains are as valuable as mountains of gold and silver."

The village, once plagued by heavy industrial pollution, is now a national 4A scenic area renowned for its beauty and high livability.
On Monday afternoon, Xi visited a multi-platform center for resolving social conflicts and disputes in Anji County. The center, where various departments work together, provides one-stop services for settling disputes at the grassroots level. It has received more than 6,500 people and settled 91.3 percent of their cases.

Xi started his inspection tour in Zhejiang on Sunday. He visited the Ningbo-Zhoushan Port and an industrial park for auto parts and molds in Ningbo to inspect the resumption of work and production.
The tour comes at a time when the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak has basically been curbed in China and life and work are returning to normal.

While visiting the industrial park on Sunday afternoon, Xi said various industries and enterprises have been affected by the pandemic, noting that Beijing has announced a series of policies to address the issue.
The authorities will unveil more targeted measures to help small and medium-sized enterprises resume production as soon as possible and achieve new development, he added, encouraging them to rise to the challenges and overcome the difficulties.
There are 78 enterprises in the industrial park with over 20,000 staff members, 100 percent of whom have restarted work while 96 percent of production capacity has been resumed.
