Can China's economy survive without international markets?

March and April used to be a busy season for these garment manufacturers and exporters from Shaoxing City in South China's Zhejiang province. 

But no longer, as business has been adversely affected the effects of COVID-19 in more countries and regions around the world. As the virus hits the U.S. and Europe, which are among China's biggest overseas markets, it will be a long road to complete recovery for Chinese businesses. 

What domestic action can China take to address this? Can China's economy survive without international markets? 

Li Yong, a Senior Fellow with the China Association of International Trade, shares his views on this issue.
