A magnitude 6.5 earthquake struck 72 km west of Challis, Idaho on Tuesday, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
The epicenter of the earthquake was recorded at a depth of 10 kilometers.
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
