With temperatures rising, migratory birds are flocking to Poyang Lake in southeast China's Jiangxi Province.

Migratory birds take up residence in the area from February to October.

The first nestlings of summer migratory birds are learning to fly.

Grey herons can be heard from afar. Thousands of them are nesting, laying eggs and hatching here. Dozens of bird nests can be found on every tree, attracting a large number of photographers.

Villagers have been releasing fish in the lake to feed the growing number of birds.
