China, Vietnam to enhance cooperation on COVID-19 control

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said Thursday that China is willing to work with Vietnam to enhance cooperation and share experience on COVID-19 prevention and control to curb the spread of the pandemic in the region.

Li made the remarks during a phone call with Vietnam's Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

Li said China is willing to offer necessary help and support to Vietnam to fight the disease and stressed that China values the health and interests of overseas Chinese. 

He expressed hope that Vietnam can ensure the safety of the Chinese people in Vietnam. 

The Vietnamese prime minister extended his gratitude to China for its support and help in fighting the pandemic and vowed that the country will take measures to ensure the health and safety of the Chinese in Vietnam. 

He added that Vietnam is willing to work with China to push forward the development of bilateral ties and ASEAN.
