The leading China's COVID-19 response team on Thursday vowed to strengthen the management of asymptomatic infections and carry out an epidemiological investigation.
The group, led by Premier Li Keqiang, called for improving prevention and control strategies and measures to bring economic and social development back to the normal track at an early date.
Li, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, presided over the meeting.
The group stressed that it's necessary to strengthen the management of recovered and discharged patients and promptly quarantine those who get infected again.
After outbound travel restrictions are lifted in Hubei Province, road inspection should be scientific and standardized, the group said, calling for more effort to ensure the smooth transportation of passengers and goods.
The group also vowed to step up measures to prevent imported cases by land and water and said that unnecessary cross-border movement of people should be reduced and inspections of major roads enhanced.
The meeting also called for the orderly resumption of businesses and ensuring the stability of supply chain to expand domestic demand and promote reform so as to boost the momentum of economic recovery.
