Tens of thousands of birds have been welcomed in the major lakes and wetlands in northeastern Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

Red-crowned cranes, white spoonbills, tundra swans and dozens of other rare bird species have been seen resting in the Horqin National Nature Reserve.

These migratory birds will fly to the north in batches after staying here for more than 20 days. Horqin National Nature Reserve has a total area of more than 120,000 hectares. The special landforms have created a variety of ecosystems. It has become an important migration channel for birds in eastern Inner Mongolia.
