Flags of diplomatic missions of United Nations (UN), UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), European Union (EU), France, Italy, African Union (AU), Cyprus, and others to China fly at half-mast to mourn the martyrs who sacrificed themselves in the fight against the novel coronavirus and people who died of the disease.

"Today, we stand in solidarity with China as the country marks a day of national mourning. We remember all those whose lives have been taken by this terrible virus. This is a global battle. Only by working together can the EU, China and the world overcome COVID-19," EU ambassador to China said in his official Twitter account.

April 4 is China's traditional Tomb Sweeping Day, but it has an additional meaning this year since China holds a national mourning for those who died from the disease and fighting against it.
